General Session Retirement
Crossroads: Will DC Plans Provide a Secure Retirement? |
|
|
Defined contribution plans can be a powerful tool for retirement asset accumulation. Yet, many workers do not participate in these plans, or participate in a minimal fashion. Studies suggest that workers are now entering retirement relying more on savings in IRA and 401(k)-type plans than in defined benefit plans. This panel will explore the challenges facing workers, employers and retirees as well as potential policy prescriptions to address the gaps in coverage and replacing income in retirement. |

not been embraced by higher income candidates and large high-deductible
policy premiums make them unattractive.
What do the experts say? What
is the political future of HSAs? |
